As far as I am aware there is nothing that would stop it building now - 
certainly nobody has reported any issues.

Of course gcc is legendary for breaking stuff with each revision... I 
only test with 3.3.5 (debian stable) & I'm not keen to start pulling in 
bits of unstable to my build environment.
