The only thing I can find that's odd is the LockDir parameter, which has to be changed on the linux machine prior to copying the repository across (since once you've installed it on the NT server it becomes impossible to checkout CVSROOT to change it): I haven't managed to crash it yet, though.... Possibly something else. Do you get anything with a trace on your machine?
