All I can say is that the problem appears to be related to the client side:

1. This behavior does not occur with WinCVS 1.3.6.1, but it does with
1.3.7.1 and 1.3.8.1
2. It happens whether the server is CVSNT or standard CVS

I'll look for 1.3.8.2 later. And I just joined the cvsgui group, so I'll
check there.
Thanks,
Dave

Actually, he should be ok with his current version of WinCVS. I am using
WinCVS 1.3.8.1 and a patched version of cvsnt build 57d right now, and it is
working fine. The key thing to update is the ext_protocol.dll file. The
bug existed in CVSNT prior to build 57d.

You need to get the cvsnt version of cvs.exe (plus the protocol dll:s) with
version
1.11.1.3 build 57f.
But I also think you need WinCvs version 1.3.8.2
