Are you / we resonseable for there network security?
Why not support proxies?

The changes are simple and can easyly be put into pserver.c. (o.k. root.c
also needs small changes..)

That will only work if the server side also switches to encyption. But
for plain pserver access, why not to use this stupid HTTP-Proxy?
