[Cvsnt] What to check?

It may be that he can't make a reliable connection.  I've had this myself
with the gnu.org cvs server, which for some reason doesn't like my ISP.

He can run a checkout with 'cvs -t' that will give quite a bit more
detail.  Just doing a telnet to port 2401 will verify the basic
connectivity.
