How did you move the repository files?
According to a post here not long ago a user that had TAR-ed the
repository on Unix and then unpacked it using WinZip found that there
was a hidden switch somewhere in the WinZip settings that made it add
extra line endings all by itself in some files! After finding this and
reexpanding the repository files he managed to get everything running
OK.
So if you have used this transfer method you might want to search the
archives or look deeper into WinZip settings.
