I tried that, but for some reason it requires me to login first into CVS.

S'OK... I checked the manual beforehand and couldn't for the life of me find
it. But, when I stopped pulling out my hair, it appeared to me as if in a
vision on the page:

	:pserver:cvsuser:cvspassword at 10.1.1.4:/repo

put ths in the -d option and bang, zoom, it works like a charm.

Thanks for your help!

Rob Z.

Do as follows:
1. On the command prompt check out the module you are interested in to a
local
sandbox on the PC running the server. Say your module sandbox is located at:
C:\Projects\MyModule

2. Create a batch file with these commands:
cd C:\Projects\MyModule
cvs update

3. Try running this batch file from your script

I think that this will be completely sufficient. You don't need to login if
you
are just updating an already checked out module.

Is there any way to log into CVS with a single line command without being
prompted for the password? I'm trying to write a Perl script that will
automatically update a local working copy whenever someone tags a file a
certain way. The script is running on the same machine as CVSNT, if that
helps.

I'm thinking of something along the lines of:

	set cvsroot=:pserver:cvsuser at 10.1.1.2:/repo

	cvs login -p cvspassword

Thanks!

Rob Z.
