Hi,

I'm interested in knowing what branch the user is working on when he does a commit so that I create a commitinfo script that can "lock-down" write access to some branches.

The easiest way I could get this functionality was to set a "CVS_BRANCH" environment variable during the commit so that commitinfo script could inspect that variable.

Attached is the patch that implements this. I hope it gets into the main line.

Regards,
Hiram
