cvsnt might work without shared libs, but it's completely untested -
in fact thinking about it it'll probably not work because it relies on
being able to load protocols dynamically.

It sounds like you need a special solaris build of libltdl anyway.
That's a standard piece of kit that should come with gcc or be
available from the same source.
