OK XP-Pro,
did you change the braindead "Use Simple sharing (Recommended)"
setting of XP-Pro?
It can be found from Windows Explorer menu:
Tools/FolderOptions/View/AdvancedSettings
Scroll down almost to the bottom and *un*check the setting for Simple
sharing.
This setting put there by default by Microsoft casues major grief in
many places where disk access permissions are concerned. I bet it
affects the sspi authentication too but haven't tested myself...
