I am having problems with login and at a loss of what to do as I have tried everything I can think of (Different versions of python, WinCVS, different settings, etc). If anyone has any advice, it would greatly be appreciated. BACKGROUND Let me give some background of the current installation: Machine Name: Ferrari OS: Windows2K CVSNT (Local Install): 2.0.15 WinCVS Version (Local Install): 1.3.13.2 Path: /test Python Version: 2.2.2 CREATE USER I did the following to create a user: 1. set cvsroot=:sspi:FERRARI:/test 2. cvs passwd -r dino -a DinoNew4 3. Enter password and password confirmed 3. To test: cvs ls -l -R After this last command, I receive the module listing as expected: checkoutlist 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 commitinfo 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 config 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 cvsrc 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 cvswrappers 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 editinfo 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 historyinfo 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 loginfo 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 modules 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 notify 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 postcommit 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 rcsinfo 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 taginfo 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 verifymsg 1.1 Tue Dec 23 06:57:31 2003 Directory CVSROOT/Emptydir PROBLEM: Now, I set the following preferences in WinCVS: Authentication: sspi Path: /test Host address: Ferrari Username: DinoNew4 CVSRoot: dinonew4 at ferrari:/test Then I try to login and get the following message: #### BEGIN CVS MESSAGE ### cvs -d :sspi:dino4 at ferrari:/test login cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from ferrari: cvs [server aborted]: Authentication protocol rejected access ***** CVS exited normally with code 1 ***** #### END CVS MESSAGE ### At this point, I'm stuck.
