I'm having trouble with lock files under w2k for some reason. I want to move my lockfile directory outside of my repository, so I have created a directory: d:\cvs\locks. I have create my repository in: D:\CVS\Repository\Java. I have then modified the config file to include the line: LockDir=d:\cvs\locks. However, when I try to commit changes to the modules file, I get the following error msg: Checking in modules; /DameII/CVSROOT/modules,v <-- modules new revision: 1.2; previous revision: 1.1 cvs [server aborted]: could not open lock file `D:/CVS/Repository/Java/CVSROOT/,modules,': Permission denied I don't understand. Why is it trying to create the lock file in D:/CVS/Repository/Java/CVSROOT/ ??? Shouldn't it be creating the lock file in d:\cvs\locks? I've tried with both forward and backward slashes, but neither work. Help please? Thanks! Eric
