Have you considered configuring the mailing list to only accept messages from subscribers? The virus (sobig I presume) fakes from addresses. Some people have braindead AV scanners that blindly spam every faked address with these 'warnings'. I'd start blacklisting, but it's a moving target at the moment... best to wait until it calms down a bit.
