Thank you Bo for the help, But for doing any other operation, like importing
a module or checking out a module. it still gives me the same error. Is
there something else i should be taking care of

Subject: Can't authenticate - server and client cannot agree on an
authentication scheme

Hi,

 I am a newbie to cvs, i have installed WinCVS1.3.13.1 Beta 13 (Build 1)
and CVSnt 2.0.10 on the same machine. Whenever i try connecting
to the logging onto to the server it gives me the error that

"cvs [login aborted]: Can't authenticate - server and client cannot agree on
an authentication scheme"
***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****

i am giving sspi as my protocol. i have Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition
installed on my machine. Is it because of this i am getting this error ?
or do i have to do something more about it. I followed the steps to setup
the server as given in the cvsnt installion tips on the site. and same with
WINcvs. i tried searching Google and reading the FAQ too, but there seems
to be no help in other than a post sometime back about unistalling Norton.
Is there any other way to run CVS in Windows ?

Hope i was clear in presenting my problem. Looking forward for your replies

Alexy
