All CVS Users must have Read/Write access for Two files in the CVSROOT
directory:
  history
  val-tags

Once you have these permissions set you can get more granular access control
by using the admin and writers files in CVSROOT.

Subject: [cvsnt] Cannot write to history file

Hello All,

Using Wincvs, when a user with Readonly access to the repository folder does
a Checkout, the following warning message appears before the checkout
happens:

"cvs server: warning: cannot write to history file
C:/myRepositorypath/.../CVSROOT/history: Permission denied"

Is there a way to stop this warning? I have modified the Lockdir path in the
CVSROOT of the repository for locking purposes.

I appreciate your help.

Shah
