Tony, your ERE example in the manual isn't right (unless you've 
implemented a non-standard RE engine).

In the line

	/ = myproject (*\.cpp$|*\.[ch]$|*/$)

Surely that should either be

	/ = myproject (.*\.cpp$|.*\.[ch]$|.*/$)

or more simply

	/ = myproject (\.cpp$|\.[ch]$|/$)
