We currently use CVSNT 1.11.1.3 (Build 57f) on Windows 2000 server and Eclipse 3.0M6 on WinXP Pro.
It is setup to use the repository prefix.

I encounter the problem with the Eclipse synchronizing view. The way to solve it would be
to disable the prefix feature, but that would result in getting the drive letter.

I found this in the FAQ of CVSNT:

>>>>
How do I set up CVSROOT so it doesn't contain a drive letter?

This gives the administrator the flexibility to move repository files from one drive to another without affecting clients.

Set the "repository prefix" via the CVSNT control panel applet. For example, you can set the prefix to c:\cvs and then use /cvs in CVSROOT which will be interpreted on the server as c:\cvs.
Another option is to put the CVS repository on the same drive on which the CVSNT server software was installed and use a path that starts with a forward slash, e.g.,
:sspi:servername:/test
<<<<

What does this last sentence mean?
1) What is meant with "put the CVS repository on the same drive on which the CVSNT server software was installed".
Where on that drive? In the root or in the CVSNT server software folder?
2) What is meant with "a path that starts with a forward slash, e.g.,:sspi:servername:/test "?
We use "pserver"...
3) Does this also work for multiple cvs repositories?

And maybe another question:
4) Do I understand Eclipse's statement correctly as:
CVSNT does not consistently do the prefixing? If so, can this be updated in CVSNT?
Just asking ;), so don't shoot me if I'm wrong or misunderstand.
    When they say:
>>>>
"the CVSNT server does not properly map the repository paths that are communicated in text messages. The Eclipse CVS client relies on these text messages to provide advanced features such as synchronization and compare. In order for these features to work properly, the CVSNT server must not be configured to use a repository prefix"
