I think that we are discussing the pserver access to the CVSNT server, right?
If I am not mistaken the move to the registry was on the client side instead of using a local .passwd file.
But I have not seen anything about the same happening on the server side.

No, AFAIK, there's no more passwd file. This is information is now
stored in the registry. Or am I wrong here, Tony?
