Wrong, should be:
cvs -d :sspi:localhost:/repository ls -l

or some other cvs command. Do not enter login.

Please note that the login is *only* used with :pserver: (always) and
:sspi: if you specify a user. Without a specified user :sspi: uses the
Windows login you have already done when you started the workstation.
This is what simplifies matters. So please test without the user and
without login.
