You could point out that CVSNT works very well under Linux, and you can 
still use your new Linux box as the repository.  See:

steps will be in reverse, naturally)

Another important note is that AFAIK Subversion doesn't support merging 
well ATM, which I use all the time (last I saw it supported it as the 
original CVS did, which CVSNT has improved greatly on).  You will in 
fact be losing some functionality moving to SVN.
