I'm seeing the same thing.  I notice that the PServer has both 
certificate lines commented out and genkey isn't compiled by default 
under Linux (I think, I couldn't find it anywhere anyway).  I tried 
compiling it then running it from where it was--I got a file and copied 
it to /etc/cvsnt, pointed PServer config at it, but still get the exact 
same error.

I'm running 2.0.34 client (XP) / 2.0.35 server (RH9).
