Hello,

although I haven't found the reason why "Tortoise is
eating characters from cmd.exe" we have discovered a
method to stop it: pressing ctrl-C in the "DOS-Box"
stops the behaviour.

PS: sorry for posting the previous message three
times: our firewall seems to be corrupting some
