It's a little difficult to see what else to do.  You've stated a
situation where you have the following constraints:

1. You (presumably) want to use an open-source system (CVSNT) that works
in a particular way;

2. You (presumably) cannot pay for support to amend the way that CVSNT
works;

3. You (presumably) cannot change the OS on which CVSNT is installed;

4. You (presumably) cannot change the AV system in use;

5. You cannot disable or exclude directories on the AV system;

6. You are using an AV system that currently interacts poorly with
CVSNT.

Which of those constraints can you change?  If the answer is 'none', you
appear to be stuck - unless someone can pull rabbits out of hats that I
don't know about.
