I used the MSI installer. I'll try the Inno version one night this week and
see if the results are any better.

The MSI installer seemed to be replacing the old cvslock executable.

Did you try with the Innosetup version of the installer I maintain
here:
http://web.telia.com/~u86216177/cvsntinstaller.html
or did you use the "official" MSI installer?

I tried both 2.5.01.1927 and 2.5.02.1914. I was Upgrading from 2.0.58d.

1. I tried Just upgrading
2. I deleted the install folder and tried installing.
3. I tried deleting the registry entries and installing.
Everytime I got the same issue. Invalid Lockserver version expected 2.2 got
2.1

My operating system is Windows 2003 with all updates except SP1 (haven't
tested it yet) and the permissions on the temp directory are wide open.

Roll back from which version?
How did you install that version?
What happens if you uninstall the existing version, delete the program
folder and rename the HKLM/Software/CVS/Pserver key to something else,
then install whatever version you had trouble with?

I have installed every single version of 2.0.62 and 2.5.1 during the
development phase and I had problems only a few times due to some
glitch in the installer I build. But that was never connected to the
lockserver and was for fleeting interim releases only...
