But in that case the trunk files would have gotten marked with the
sticky tag as well, wouldn't they? At least that's how it used to work
IIRC. And no, I was not using that option.

The module in question is "WinCvsSrc" from cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/cvsgui
with the Macros and PythonLib folders being checked out on the
Exp-MacroWork-BRANCH branch. I just tried it again starting with fresh
checkouts both via :ssh: and :pserver: and the two problems are
absolutely consistent.

Try this command sequence:

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous at cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/cvsgui co WinCvsSrc
cd cvsgui\Macros
cvs up -rExp-MacroWork-BRANCH
cd ..\..
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous at cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/cvsgui co WinCvsSrc

Note how the .tcl files disappear when updating to the branch and
reappear on the second checkout.
