I tried to just run update, but cvs returned this:

C:\WEB\DDC LIVE\ROOT>"C:\Program Files\TortoiseCVS\cvs.exe" "-q" "-z9"
"update" "-d" "-P" "."
cvs.exe update: Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password

Not sure why you would want to run login from a batch file... seems a 
bit pointless.

You're probably not logged in as a real user, so there's no registry.
