How about GNU CVS running on Win2K, or CVSNT on the Linux box?  The Win 
OS has so much crap sandbagging performance normally that it's extremely 
misleading to do such a comparison.  That said, CVSNT is doing a lot 
more (e.g. using system authentication and reverse DNS is going to be a 
LOT slower than a file lookup and IP addresses only)
