Second try:
Uninstalled CVSNT and wiped the registry too, then installed 2.0.58d
and via the Control Panel applet I registered the existing
repositories again.
Now the system works again and I can do the tests:
- add text file as binary
- cvs remove it
- cvs update to rev 1.1
- check retrieved file, it is OK.
So with 2.0.58d as client and server the issue of disappearing line
endings is not there.

And while I wa at it I also tested the sticky revision thing by
updating the file again. It does not disappear, it stays at revision
1.1.

Now back to 1966...
