When I run cvs info -r with my 2115 client against my Linux (FC2) 2260
server, I get:

...
Protocols:
   gserver
   pserver
   sserver
...

so I can't repeat your problem. What happens when you run it locally on
the server?

Tony -- I noticed your 2.6.01 build on cvs.cvsnt.org is showing build
2660 right now -- are the build numbers supposed to be unique, or just
unique to the specific version?
