What version is your CVSNT client and server?  Make sure you're using 
the latest stable release.

Are you using a frontend for the import (e.g. WinCVS) and what version 
is that?  Make sure you're up to date on that, but sometimes those 
projects lag behind with the version of CVSNT that ships with them.

Can you repeat the statement on the command line with the same results?
