[cvsnt] -kB option problematic?

dbk is actually DocBook (and the cvs documentation uses DocBook XML -
opposed to DocBook SGML).

If you can work with HTML or XML, then working with DocBook XML is fairly
simple - especially if you are into semantic markup - but it does help if
you have a validating XML editor available.
