Your cvs add only makes sense if issued inside a checked out sandbox. When this sandbox was checked out you used ssh as protocol and therefore of course all subsequent commands in that sandbox will do the same. If in the meantime you have disabled ssh on the server then no connection can be done and you get exatly this error message. Best regards, Bo Berglund
