That's what i did though, and they still can't see the original source, all
they can open is the ,v files

Don't panic!

Reinstall the CVSNT server service.  Create a repository with the same 
name as the old one.  Put your RCS files (the ones that end in ,v) in 
there.  Your users should be happy at that point (assuming you have 
permissions, etc. set correctly).
