The repository I was refering is for the one file not the entire source tree. We increased the memory to 4GB and updated teh the ini file but I'm still getting the error try to run cvs log against one file. I guess the next step is to upgrade to the newer version of CVS you mentioned earlier. Test it first of course. Thanks for your help. ----- Original Message ---- From: Arthur Barrett <arthur.barrett at march-hare.com> To: Matthew Rich <mbrich2000 at yahoo.com>; cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Sent: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 2:18:08 PM Subject: RE: [cvsnt] Out of memory error on CVS log > Yes the file is a binary. the size if the file is 5700KB and 5.7Mb is a little small for the C run time library problem, so it is more likely to be something else - most likely fixed in a more recent version. > as stated earlier the repository for the file is 576691KB. The repository size is irrelevant - rlog processes one file at a time. > Isn't my current version of CVSNT newer then the one you > suggest? 184.108.40.2066 vs 2.5.03.2382. 3 > 1. 2.5.03.2382 is more recent than 2.5.01.1976 > I have to be careful as my company is in the midst of a big > release. so changing the CVS version may not be advisable right away. You may be interested in looking at our commercially supported versions then. Take a copy of your REPO and put on a desktop and install the 2382 server and client on the desktop and test there...
