What operating system the laptop is running? XP Home is known to have a few problems, due to its limited networking capabilities - Vista Home could suffer the same issues. You may need to connect to the domain before hand (i.e. try connect to a share or connect via NET USE), using the <domain>\<user> syntax, or try to use cvs login (but it stores the password on the PC). -- Luigi D.
