Hi Glen,

Thanks for the reply. I'm not actually trying to split it up as such. I
didn't want to clutter my system with another installation of CVSNT. I
already have one or two installs on my drive, and wanted to simply keep the
required files for Workspace Manager together in one place. So I tried to
extract the files from the client msi into a directory and run it from
there, but the app won't launch. It seems that the installer is enabling
something, but I can't figure out what, and the error msg doesn't help me
figure it out any better.

I even went one step further and tried it with WMFree from the EVS build,
and can get a lot further; I can get the WM to launch, but when it tries to
authenticate using CVS, it keeps failing. Opening the log window and I see
cvs error msgs indicating that the pserver protocol is not installed, even
though all the dlls are present.

Is there no way to get either the WM from 2.5 build or from the EVS build to
work without being forced to use the installer?

Thanks,

Eric
