Just to add to my previous post:

On CVSNT server (RHEL ES 4 machine)

[root at localhost cvsnt]# telnet localhost 2401
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
[root at localhost cvsnt]#

Also, from the machine that has WinCVS installed, I am able to ping but not
able to perform any CVS operations. :(
