[cvsnt] GPL does not govern use of application, only copying

No, but knowing what license the app is under is quite useful,
especially to corporate users (although I have had one large company
who shall remain nameless ask me whether they could license 1000
copies and how much would it cost...)

Occasionally people have objections to GPL code and they have the
opportunity to bail out there and then, rather than proceed.
