I recompiled the Debian source package and added a line to print out the 
string that is failing the assert test.  Looks like they are expecting 
the options string in an entries file (from the client?) to start with 
"-k" and they take the rest of string after that.

However with the current CVSNT the string received is just "o".  Not 
entirely sure what the correct behaviour should be.

ps. On a side note - there is a gmane group 
"gmane.comp.version-control.cvs.windows-nt.cvs" but it doesn't seem
