Error 12, or error 1231, or 31?  It looks like your client munged the line
somewhat.

12 = "The access code is invalid."
1231 = "The network location cannot be reached.  For information about
network troubleshooting, see Windows Help."
31 = "A device attached to the system is not functioning."

All 3 of which point to network problems on your system.  You need to have
networking working enough to be able to view remote shares on the machine
before ntserver stands a chance of working.

It's better to use sspi, which is simpler to set up and works over the
internet.
