Try 'cvs info pserver' - it'll give you the syntax of the cvsroot for pserver.
Basically you can specify the username and password at the same time - it does
mean that the password is stored in plaintext in the script, though, so you
have to worry about security.

That describes Unix CVS, which has a few differences...  one of them is how
