LockServer has been the default since 2.0.15 IIRC (in fact you have to
specifically disable it to not use it).
The ,whater, files will go away by themselves usually.. If you're
getting them repeatedly that's the kind of thing Realtime scanning on
an AV can do (it holds the files open and stops the final rename
