Hi,

On the CVS server the modules are stored in their directory structure..

myproject\
               subproject1\
                                  file1.c,v
                                  file2.c,v
               subproject2\
                                  file3.c,v
                                  file4.c,v
               subproject3\
	                     ....

If I decide that the two subprojects should actually be modules in their own
right, can I just restructure them directly like this:

myproject\
               subproject3\
	                     ....

project1\
             file1.c,v
             file2.c,v

project2\
             file3.c,v
             file4.c,v

On other words, does CVS store a list of the modules separately, or does it
just look at what's on the disk? I know I can do something similar by using
the modules/modules2 file, but that won't remove it from the myproject
module. And yes I know that getting out old revisions of myproject would not
restore it with the two subprojects, and also that anyone working on it at
the time I did the change would be in trouble.

Thanks,
Andy
