I didn't say that. I just stated that I never heard about it and that
cvs -H import is not reporting it as a valid option. I only have a very
vague suspicion at what you probably think it would do...

The error message you posted strongly indicates that it is a valid
option indeed. It's probably just not doing what you expect it to. If
it was an invalid option the message would definitely have been a
different one.
