I'm not sure, but I think the server has no means of instructing the client
to update the sandbox file when the client issues an edit command on an
outdated revision. However, there may be a possibility that one of the
admin files (e.g. precommand) can check the revision that is about to be
edited, read the number of the highest revision on the same branch and
refuse the command if they are not the same.

That may be a result of Tony not using the edit feature a lot :)
