Sorry, this was on the command line, I don't use WinCVS.

What I meant when I wrote "marked with a question mark" was this output 
list from cvs (example):

J:\Cm3>cvs -q update -d -P
? BuildAll.bat
? CVS-Statistics.bat
? CVSStatistics
? Data
? ExImp
? Examples
? Init
? Patches
? Prt
? cvsign.ore
? devel
? statcvs-xml-0.9.4-full.jar

As I have written in my earlier mail, this seems to be (for me at last) 
case sensitive...
