Greetings to all cvsnt users,

I have now released checkcvswrappers (revision 1.5)

checkcvswrappers is a utility to help manage your cvs wrappers
($CVSROOT/cvswrapers, ~/.cvswrappers, and per-directory .cvswrappers). It
helps you avoid the situation where you import or add files into a cvs
repository with the wrong wrapper, which could mean that when these files
are checkout'd they are corrupt. checkcvswrappers checks a specified set of
directories, and all its children (except CVS), and examines all files
(except .cvsignore or.cvswrappers) that are not already wrapped in
$CVSROOT/wrappers or ~/.cvswrappers to determine whether those files are
text, binary, or Unicode, and need to be wrapped. checkcvswrappers can
optionally generate per-directory .cvswrappers to ensure files are
correctly wrapped.

checkcvswrappers only works when cvsnt (client and server) support the info
command... it is probably a good idea to use it only with cvsnt-2.5.01.2025
or better.

A heuristic approach is taken to determine whether a file is text, unicode,
or binary. This has been extensively tested... YMMV... please let me know
if you experience any files being incorrectly identified.

checkcvswrppers is released under the GPL.

It is for the GNU/Linux platform only, but if enough people ask me nicely I
will port to Windows (its fairly trivial to do so).

You can grab the source tarball from:

http://www.omz13.com/prj/checkcvswrappers/archive/

Please note that you will also need cmake:
http://www.cmake.org

And the argv library

More information about checkcvswrappers may appear on http://www.omz13.com.

Greetings from (hot and sunny) Luxembourg
