Hi all

Using CVSNT 2.5.01 build 1976, pserver, on a Unix. I'm having serious problems with the rcsinfo functionality, which behaves erracticaly. I've read what I can find on the mailing list and web but still.

The bottom-line symptom is that I can not get CVS/Template locally when I checkout. The very best I have achieved is to get it to be there with a size of 1 byte, containing the very first letter of the actual text I want to be there.

My rcsinfo has only one non-comment line, and it reads "ALL /absolute/path/to/file.txt". I've tried "DEFAULT", and tried relative paths, paths starting with $CVSROOT, etc. None work. The only time I got something (the 1-byte file mentioned above) was with "DEFAULT /abs/path/file.txt".

I have checked permissions; I have run with the highest -t option to look for clues; nada. I've looked at the sources for the latest release and appearantly it wll print more trace info but my current version doesn't print anything useful. I also saw it has to do with the client-side protocol support for "Template", so I'm mentioning the fact I am using pserver;

I cannot find a history page to see whether this is a known bug fix in latest releases.

Anyone with a clue?

tia,
Nitzan
