Does anyone have any advice on how to debug this problem?

Is there a verbose mode or something that can give more info?

Thanks,

Hi Arthur,

Thanks for the response!

I did exactly what you suggested. I uninstalled WinCVS and then installed
the bare package. Then I installed cvsnt on top of that and used the
cvs.exe
plus protocols from cvsnt. Do I need anything else? I don't want the
server
running on this machine.

I'm not getting the debug statement anymore but I'm still getting the same
behavior. The cvsnt server is crashing when I try to check out a module.

Here are the contents of the WinCVS output window:

------------------------------------------------------------------

Python 2.4.3 (#69, Mar 29 2006, 17:35:34) [MSC v.1310 32 bit (Intel)] on
win32
Tk is available, Tk-macros are enabled
cvs -d :sspi;username=administrator;hostname=10.10.60.12;port=2401:/LFT
login
Logging in to :sspi:administrator at 10.10.60.12:2401:/LFT

***** CVS exited normally with code 0 *****

cvs -d :sspi;username=administrator;hostname=10.10.60.12;port=2401:/LFT
checkout -P -- Client (in directory C:\temp)
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if
any)

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****

Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT) 2.5.03 (Scorpio) Build 2382
(client/server)

------------------------------------------------------------------

What is going on here? The server generates a .dmp file. I didn't see any
useful info in it, but maybe someone who knows what to look for might...

Thanks so much for you help!

You've most likely installed the WinCVS package that includes the old CVSNT.
Uninstall WinCVS and re-install the "bare" package and
then install CVSNT into the same directory.
