Bo,
I first uninstalled 2151 (MSI) and then installed 2252 (MSI) which
required a reboot. After that, the CVSNT control panel would not start (you
click on it, the mouse flashes and it doesn't come up, no errors in the
event viewer, but the server and lock server are running ok).

So, I uninstalled 2252 (MSI), and rebooted. Installed 2252 (MSI) again
and rebooted, and get the same response from the control panel.

As I mentioned, the CVSNT control panel worked fine under 2151.

What happens when you try to start the control panel?
How did you instell the CVSNT server you have today? Which installer
etc?

If nothing else, you could always uninstall from Add/Remove programs
and then re-run the CVSNT installation.
Everything from your previous install will be intact, the uninstall
does not touch the Registry data or the repository files so the new
server will come back up exactly like the old one. Except maybe this
time you will get the Control Panel to work.

Since some time back its icon does not appear in the standard Control
Panel, you have to open the CVSNT folder under Start/Programs to reach
it. But it does work....
